Marie Maiolo Muchow

Since February of 2005, Marie Maiolo Muchow has been the sole proprietor of the Law and Mediation Offices of Marie Maiolo Muchow and offers mediation services with an emphasis on personal injury claims requiring the need for a bilingual neutral. Raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ms. Muchow is fluent in Spanish and possesses a deep understanding of Hispanic Cultures.
Having worked as an insurance defense attorney and also as a plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney, Ms. Muchow provides a balanced perspective and a deep understanding of the driving issues that will facilitate resolution of claims. Ms. Muchow brings decades of experience mediating a variety of civil disputes in the Bay area.
Ms. Muchow obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Politics graduating 5th in her class with Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude Honors from the Catholic University of America, Washington DC in 1986. She received her JD from the University of Florida in 1989. While at the University of Florida, Ms. Muchow earned an Appellate Advocacy Fellowship and worked for two different personal injury law firms.
Ms. Muchow became a member of the Florida State Bar in 1989. While living in Florida, Ms. Muchow worked as a litigation associate for a major insurance defense firm, defending business establishments such as Winn Dixie, Wal-Mart, Rite Aid, and insureds of major insurance companies such as Progressive and State Farm. Ms. Muchow then became a partner at the law firm of Maiolo Campbell & Wotton where she handled all firm litigation specializing in personal injury matters such as auto accidents, premises and products liability with an emphasis on assisting members of the Hispanic Community.
Ms. Muchow moved to California and became a member of the California State Bar in 1996. After working as an insurance defense litigation associate, Ms. Muchow founded the firm of Harris & Muchow where she served as the Managing Partner representing injured parties and litigating a variety of personal injury matters: first and third-party auto accident claims, wrongful death matters, premises and products liability claims involving serious and grave injuries and other complex multiparty personal injury litigation. In 2005, Ms. Muchow established her solo practice to focus on plaintiffs’ personal injury claims and her mediation practice.
Ms. Muchow is retiring from her practice as a plaintiffs’ personal injury attorney to focus exclusively on providing mediation services.
